Online grocery shopping delivery is pathetic in Alberta

Online grocery shopping and delivery is pathetic in western Canada. I've ordered from Save On Foods, but their delivery charge is either $11.95 or $12.95 depending on what time you have it delivered.

That's very expensive and adds up quickly when you have no other way to get groceries. It's unfair!!!

Walmart delivers in Ontario only. They need to start delivering in western Canada, too. Save On Foods needs the competition.

A Great NEED for Grocery Delivery all over Canada
by: Ruth

I agree with you, Cheryl,
I hear this all the time. Canadians especially wish for grocery delivery and it is only available in the biggest cities.

That is why on my site, I have recommended that even an individual (or family) could start up a personal delivery service - and with some good advertising, or use of social media, they could probably get a lot of clients for whom they could go shopping, or just pick up and deliver the groceries.

Do you have a Superstore in Edmonton? Here in Saskatoon, and I understand in the lower mainland of BC, they now have a service where you can place an order online, or phone it in, and then you - or someone else for you, can go pick it up. I have not needed to use it yet, but I can see where that could help some folks.

Maybe some other folks should chime in here and tell us what you want or need in your area. Also, what would be a fair delivery price to pay?

Blessings & Thanks,
Ruth Marlene Friesen
